5.1. Oscillator SNC353 accept RC type oscillator for system clock. The typical circuit diagram for oscillator is listed as follow. rOSCVCCRC Oscillator 5.2. ROM SNC353 contains substantial 64K words (10-bit) internal ROM. Program, voices and other data are shared with this same 64K words ROM. 5.3. RAM SNC353 contains 128 nibbles RAM. The 128 nibbles RAM are divided into eight pages (page 0 to page 7, 16 nibbles RAM on each page). In our programming structure, users can easily define and locate RAM page in the program. For instance, users can use the instructions, PAGEn (n=0 to 7) to switch and indicate the RAM page. Besides, users can use direct mode, M0 ~ M15 in the data transfer type instructions, to access all 16 nibbles of each page. 5.4. Power Down Mode “End” instruction will power down SNC353 and enable IC to consume fewer current for power saving. 5.6. Auto repetition Auto repetition function helps SN56000 series realize a “looping” sound automatically by hardware without any software effort. Auto repetition function is a very useful mechanism to implement “Sustain” sound in instrument synthesis. All 4 channels are equipped with this function. Arbitrary lengths of looping sound are accepted by SN56000 series. 5.7. Wave Mark This is a new function for SN56000 series, it allows user to add a special mark in wave data by the voice edit tool “CoolEdit”, ”Goldwav”, “SoundForge”. User can insert event tags in anywhere of his wave file and can easy to get this special code to do his special action during voice playing. That means, it should be easily to control the I/O (such as LED or Motor) and other actions to synchronize with voice. 5.8. Push-Pull output A Push-Pull Direct Drive circuit is built-in SN56016. The NY3P series are single-chip voice synthesizing CMOS IC. They are embedded EPROM architecture, and OTP (One Time Programmable) IC that are designed to support NY3AxxxA, NY3BxxxA, NY3CxxxA and NY3DxxxA MaskROM products. There are 6 bodies: NY3P010A, NY3P016A, NY3P035A, NY3P065A, NY3P087A and NY3P115A. Each body has one input and four I/O pins except NY3P010A with one input and two I/O pins. Through accurate internal oscillation of +/- 1% tolerance, an external Rosc is unnecessary. There is only one PWM output for voice. Thus any external component is not required. Using the same speech algorithm as NY3A, NY3B, NY3C and NY3D, customer’s speech data can be written into EPROM by different code data. Besides, two interactive software developing tools of “Q-Speech” & “Quick-IO” are user-friendly and quick for programming, then users can write BIN code into OTP very fast by “Q-Writer“ software cooperating with “OTP_Writer“ hardware. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The NY4P series IC is a powerful 4-bit micro-controller based sound processor. They are embedded EPROM architecture, and the OTP (One Time Programmable) ICs that are designed to support NY4A and NY4B MaskROM products. There is only 1-channel speech with high quality direct-drive PWM output. By using the high fidelity ADPCM speech synthesis algorithm and a built-in noise filter, it can produce outstanding quality voices. Wide range sampling rate up to 44.1kHz is supported. The RISC MCU architecture is very easy to program and control, various applications can be easily implemented. There are 44 instructions, and most of them are executed in single cycle. Furthermore, a HALT mode (sleep mode) is designed to minimize power dissipation. Through +/-1% accurate internal oscillation, external Rosc is unnecessary. 2. By using the high fidelity ADPCM speech synthesis algorithm, it can produce outstanding quality voices. Wide range sampling rate up to 44.1kHz and different volume level are supported. It is also equipped two kinds of audio outputs with fine resolution, including a current D/A converter and a PWM direct-drive. The RISC MCU architecture is very easy to program and control, various applications can be easily implemented. There are 48 instructions, and most of them are executed in single cycle.
